MORE in the Foothills: A Custom Experience

Did you know that we offer the option to develop a fully customized MORE build, alongside our Craftsman and Modern spec models?

Over this past summer, we had the opportunity to connect with a lovely couple from rural Alberta, who where looking to develop a versatile space which could offer solutions to a variety of needs on their picturesque and private acreage!

Our client’s dream list included a space for…

  • Home Fitness & Gym Equipment

  • Hay & Tack Storage

  • Crafting & Hobbies

  • Rest & Relaxation

With all of this in mind, it was clear to us that this rural property would be best suited to a custom MORE build that would uniquely encompass everything our clients were dreaming of. We accepted the challenge and couldn’t wait to get started!

From day one this acreage felt incredibly special and the views were breathtaking with rolling foothills, mature trees, and full  mountain lines…we knew that the design for this MORE build needed to lend itself to the natural beauty that would surround it.  We dreamed of vaulted ceilings, oversized windows and warm finishes to pull together a comforting and modern yet rustic experience for our clients to enjoy for years to come!

From an exterior perspective, the aesthetic selections were made to coordinate with the existing home on the property which  included James Hardie board siding, aluminium soffits, eaves & fascia, and asphalt shingles for the roof.

From an interior perspective, the hardwood floor and built in cabinetry brought forward hints of modern design, while the more  rustic elements would include a wood burning stove, and tongue &  groove pine wall paneling throughout the entire build.

The outcome was a truly rustic and tranquil vision brought to life!

We’d like to thank our trusted partners in business who worked with us to pull this rustic retreat together:

  • What unique features are hosted on your property?

  • What are the zoning permissions of your property? Any architectural controls to be aware of?

Rest assured, if you’re unsure of where to start, just know that we are here to offer our support as much as we possibly can and all questions are welcomed!
